Hello, and welcome to my website! As you can probably tell from the URL, my name is Doug Mayfield. I'm a graphic designer from Cincinnati, living in Columbus, OH. During my three years as a professional graphic designer, I've worked at an architecture firm, two branding agencies, and two publishing/media companies.
I currently work at 614 Media Group in Columbus, where I design a weekly alternative newspaper called Dig Baton Rouge. I also contribute regularly to the publications (614) Magazine and Food City Columbus. Working at 614 has honed my layout skills and made my passion for magazine design grow.
I draw inspiration from a diverse range of sources, including everything from modernist typography and psychedelic concert posters to vintage sports logos and athletic shoes. I've always seen the world from an artistic point of view, seeking to apply art and design to any of my momentary interests.
