I designed this layout while working as the Lead Designer of (614) Magazine in Columbus, OH. The article is details how to take more sophisticated approaches to making popular cocktails like the Long Island, Jägerbomb, and Tequila Sunrise. This was a fun spread to design because it was one of the rare opportunities to lay out an article with no ads. It’s like getting to start with a blank canvas. I always tried to make use of white space whenever an ad-free spread made its way to my desk.
